HEALTHCARE

The Multicultural Council has been promoting healthcare since 1985, when it established AAA Health Centers in Michigan, and in Windsor, Canada. Unfortunately our free clinics AAA Health Centers in Michigan and in Canada were closed in the 80’s due to financial difficulties. Subsequently, we established “AAA Hospital & Health Centers” in the Caribbean Island of Hispaniola, serving the indigent Dominicans and Haitians, with free or highly subsidized healthcare. Through financial support of New York based ‘Smile Train Organization’, AAA Hospital offered Free surgeries for
children with Cleft Lip & Cleft Palate.
Many organizations from Canada, USA, and UK helped AAA Hospital with donations to carry out its mission, but the unfortunate devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010, which damaged our hospital beyond repairs, forced us to close the facility. Many of the services were transferred to ‘Cruz Jiminian
Charitable Hospital’ in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
In Michigan, however, we continue to serve our multicultural communities as “Medical Case Managers”, for those having been involved in auto-accidents, work-related injuries, hospitalization, etc.
We don’t provide any direct medical service but serve as ‘Patient Advocate’, coordinating our client’s treatment plans with hospitals, clinics, specialists, therapists, workman’s comp, insurance companies and lawyers. Our goal is faster recovery of our clients, best treatment and to maximize financial
compensation the client deserves. There is NO FEE to our clients for this wonderful service.

PERSONAL MEDICAL RECORD JOURNAL

An exclusive publication of the Multicultural Council designed for your peace-of-mind and to maintain a comprehensive & complete record of your health history.
Although Electronic Health Records (EHRs) has been in the news for decades, they are expensive, limited in scope, often full of errors, and only available to some doctors and at few clinics & hospitals.

They are NOT always available nationwide or overseas, and carry a big risk of breech and privacy. The EHR is also incomplete because it does not include any record of the history of your ‘Birth, your Parents/Grandparents Health, Siblings Health, Genetics info, Dental Care or any Holistic Medicine, Supplements, etc. that you may have used. It does not give you any control of what goes in there and you can’t add or change anything if there are errors. Unfortunately, it has very limited use – if any.
The MCC’s simplified, economical, safe & secure ‘Personal Medical Records Journal’ Empower YOU to write-in your medical history from birth-on, your family history, dental history, and use of any holistic medicine, OTC, etc. It also allows you to attach any lab reports or diagnostic evaluations.
Best of all – you can have your complete health history on your smart-phone, tablet, computer as well as in print form, enabling you to carry your record with you at all times, or allows you to provide it to your loved ones or healthcare professionals anytime anywhere – just in case of an emergency.
It also gives you information about suggested preventive services, vaccine schedule for adults, Emergency Supply Kit info, as well as sample forms for Advance Care Planning & Organ Donation.
Buy it online for only $12.00 from the Multicultural Council, and have an additional print copy for just $5.00 more, so you have both versions for convenience. This is a unique gift for every individual.
If you order at least 500 copies for your Organization, we would be happy to include special imprint of your own organizations logo, name, address, and a short special message on the front cover of the Personal Medical Record Journal. This could be a great Advertising/Marketing promotion for your Clients/Members/Friends/Supporters, etc. We can arrange to have it mailed to them directly on your behalf at an extra cost.
